Great American Cleanup – PRAS volunteers will be at Kiwanis Park
April 1, 2017 @ 8:00 am - 1:00 pm

PRAS will be participating again this year in the Keep Charlotte Beautiful clean-up day on April 1.
Keep Charlotte Beautiful is a proud affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, the nation’s largest volunteer-based community action and education organization.
Their mission is to focus on improving the quality of life in Charlotte County by engaging volunteers to keep our community clean and free of debris, conserving resources and beautifying our public spaces. They use the three “E’s” of community engagement: Education, Environment and Events to instill pride and ownership in our community so that we ensure effective, long-term results.
PRAS will be focusing their efforts on Kiwanis Park, 501 Donora Street, off Midway Boulevard. Participants should meet at 8:00 in the parking lot to pick up their supplies. Refreshments following cleanup at the Mid County Mini-Transfer and Recycling Facility (19675 Kenilworth Blvd, Port Charlotte).
Contact Nancy Turner 941-627-9107 to signup for this community event.
The 2017 Birdathon and The Great American Cleanup happen to fall on the same Saturday in April. Peace River Audubon has a very large membership with diverse skills and interests, so both events could be fun to participate in. Kiwanis Park is a great Charlotte County birding spot where Birdathon teams could add a large number of birds to their count list while still participating in the Great American Cleanup…
Come out and join some really good people doing really great things!
