Organized by Peace River Audubon Society, and open to the public, the PRAS Photography Group enables people in the local area interested in nature photography to meet informally and share their knowledge and experiences. If you are interested in nature photography, whether you are an expert or complete novice, don’t miss this great opportunity to improve your skills and share your love of wildlife and photography with others.
The Audubon Photo Group meets on the first Wednesday of each month from November to April. Members also may receive email notification of additional trips.
Depending on the trip destination, we normally meet at one of three locations. For trips south, we meet at in the Publix Parking lot south of Punta Gorda at US 41 and Burnt Store Road. For trips north, we meet in the old Publix parking lot behind McDonald’s on Peachland near Veterans and Kings Highway in Port Charlotte. For trips east, we meet in the Winn Dixie parking lot on US 17 at State Road 74 north of Punta Gorda. Meeting times vary with destination, time of year, and needs of the group. All trips are open to the public, and you may be a member of the Audubon Photo Group without being a member of the Peace River Audubon Society. On most trips we carpool and share gas expenses.
